AIDS TOLL: 350,000 AMERICANS DEAD

By June 30, 1996 over 338,000 Americans had died from HIV disease; as of November 1996 over 350,000 Americans are dead. The toll rises daily. Little is done to stop further spread of this deadly plague. In addition to those who have already succumbed to their illness, there are another 200,000 tragic victims who are terminally ill, still another 600,000 to 1 million more of our fellow countrymen with latent HIV infection - almost all of whom will sooner or later progress to the terminal stages of immunodeficiency and death. It is estimated that between 40,000 to 80,000 new cases of HIV disease are contracted here in America every year, but the exact number can only be estimated because, to date, HIV disease is still not considered a reportable disease in the majority of our States where the epidemic is centered.
How can this be?
How is it possible to control an epidemic without knowing who is infected, and without allowing public health officers to use the readily available public health measures which are utilized to control the spread of all other infectious diseases? Quite obviously it cannot be done. That is to be the subject of this newsletter. Why is it that physicians and public health officers all across America and throughout the world are being prevented from trying to stop further spread of this terrible epidemic?
As incredible as it may seem to many, there is an "organized force" at work within our land (and throughout the world as well) intent upon blocking any and all efforts to introduce the standard public health measures necessary to begin to bring the HIV epidemic under control. Nowhere is that "organized force" more clearly demonstrated than in the responses of Gay and Socialist activists to the June 29,1996 announcement by the American Medical Association that the AMA House of Delegates had voted to support mandatory prenatal and neonatal HIV testing.
Dr. Robert E. McAfee, long-time member of the AMA Board of Trustees and past-president of the AMA, was quoted as saying: "We have learned enough about the disease to know that the differences in those (women) who are treated versus those who are not treated cuts by two-thirds the risk to the unborn child." 1 Furthermore, many of the children born to HIV-infected mothers have been found to be uninfected at birth, but have become infected secondarily during breast feeding. That is why it is so vitally important that every treating physician know their patient's HIV status. It is estimated that over 2000 HIV-infected children are currently born in the United States every year, and between 12 and 14 hundred of those infections could be prevented if only treating physicians were allowed to carry out mandatory prenatal and neonatal HIV testing.
Despite the fact that mandatory prenatal and neonatal testing are deemed necessary by physicians, Gay activists and their Socialist allies began scheming as to how they would be able to block the implementation of the AMA policy.
At the International AIDS Conference convened in Vancouver, British Columbia, just two days after the AMA's initial announcement, Gay and AIDS activists demonstrated loudly and persistently against the new American Medical Association policy. Yelling and screaming obscenities, the activists were able to intimidate and shout down anyone who dared to publicly support a logical and compassionate approach to the epidemic. In the weeks that followed, the activists began a coordinated attack against any effort to introduce mandatory prenatal HIV testing. Letters critical of the AMA's new policy appeared in newspapers and medical journals across America. On July 2, 1996, just 4 days after the AMA's initial announcement, the New York Times published a letter arguing that the American Medical Association's new testing policy was:
"shameful ... For it does not mandate treatment which is the only way to reduce transmission to newborns ... In the absence of universal health care and given that HIV predominates in poor communities, mandatory testing becomes another obstacle to obtaining prenatal care."
Of course, the subject of universal health care (socialized medicine) and the availability of prenatal care had nothing to do with the issue of mandatory prenatal testing, but by introducing irrelevant issues into the debate, the author was able to frame his arguments so that he became a champion of the poor and downtrodden, diverting attention away from the fact that he was actually opposing the public health measures which, had they been implemented years earlier, would certainly have saved tens of thousands of lives of the poor across our land.2
During this past decade I have debated Gay and AIDS activists many times, and have repeatedly encountered the same arguments. Over and over, I have been told that America must accept socialized medicine before standard public health measures can be introduced to bring the epidemic under control. What is poorly understood by most Americans is that the HIV epidemic is being used to further a socialist, political agenda, and that most of those who actively oppose the implementation of effective public health policies are dedicated to socialism, totalitarianism, and to ever-increasing governmental control over our lives.
These people see nothing wrong with allowing the government to force medical treatment upon our populace - a frightening concept in my opinion. By insisting that free medical care must be available before standard public health measures can be introduced, they ensure that the epidemic will continue spreading. While appearing to champion the impoverished and downtrodden, they, in fact, ensure the deaths of the poor. As a direct result of the carefully coordinated effort by Gay and AIDS activists to block implementation of needed public health measures, literally millions of men, women, and children have died unnecessarily across our land and throughout the world.
Because there are those working within the hierarchy of organized medicine who secretly support the Gay and socialist agendas, I can assure you that little will come of the AMA's new position on mandatory prenatal/neonatal testing. Until the citizens of our land come to recognize the true nature of the forces we oppose, this deadly epidemic will continue to spread its web of death, devastation, and destruction across our land.
The current epidemic is the gravest tragedy ever recorded in all of human history. After you have read my article on "Population Control" (page 3) you may begin to catch a glimpse of the magnitude of the horror that has engulfed our world, and why it is that no effective public health measures are being utilized in the West, in Africa, or in the non-communist countries of Asia to attempt to block further spread of this terrifying illness. You will certainly be shocked at my conclusions, but the truth must be told.
For many years I have lectured on this epidemic throughout our nation and in a number of foreign countries, but, until recently, I was unable to accept the true significance of the epidemic. Only within the last several months have I come to accept the fact that the HIV virus was genetically engineered. Only by recognizing that the current HIV epidemic is truly a plague of Biblical proportions can we effectively face the future; only by understanding our enemy and his goals can we hope to persevere. In the Bible, in Revelation 6:8, we read (in the NIV translation):
"I looked and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine, and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth."
Who is it who claims to be the rider of the pale horse? That is the question that must be answered before you will be able to effectively address this epidemic, and that is the answer that I hope to be able to provide.
